Built by founders, for founders

We got tired of email running our days. So we built the thing we wished existed.

The problem

The average founder spends 3-4 hours a day on email. Most of that time is not spent on important decisions — it is spent triaging, deciding what needs a response, writing replies that follow a predictable pattern, and archiving things that should never have appeared in the inbox in the first place.

Email is not the job. It is the overhead around the job. And for most founders, it is completely out of control.

Why we built xNord

We tried every inbox tool available. Zero-inbox methodologies, filters and labels, email clients with AI features bolted on. None of them solved the core problem: someone still had to read every email, decide what it needed, and write a response.

xNord takes a different approach. Instead of helping you manage email faster, it handles the inbox for you. An AI agent reads your email, makes decisions about urgency and action, writes draft replies, and archives the noise — while you are doing something else.

The goal is not inbox zero. The goal is 2 minutes a day.

How we think about AI

We are not trying to replace your judgment. The agent drafts — you decide. The agent suggests — you confirm. The run log shows every action taken and every reason given. You are always in control.

We also think trust is earned, not assumed. That is why the agent runs in propose-only mode by default. Nothing is sent or archived without your review until you choose to increase its autonomy.

Values

Move fast, but not recklessly

We ship quickly because our users have real problems. But we do not ship things we are not confident in. The inbox is a high-trust environment — bugs here have real consequences.

Transparency by default

Every action the agent takes is logged. Every decision is explainable. We never want users to wonder what xNord did or why. If you cannot audit it, you cannot trust it.

Small is a feature

We are deliberately small. Small teams make faster decisions, have fewer coordination costs, and stay close to users. We do not want to grow for the sake of growing.

Users before metrics

We track metrics because they tell us if we are helping people. They are not the goal. The goal is founders spending 2 minutes a day on email, not 50,000 MAU on a dashboard.

Founder Profile

Joseph Robinson

Founder & CEO, xNord

Joseph founded xNord to solve a problem he kept seeing in high-velocity teams: too much founder time lost to repetitive inbox admin instead of core product and customer work.

Academic background: BSc Computer Science and Software Engineering MSc/PG Dip/PG Cert. He combines systems thinking with practical product execution to build trustworthy AI workflows founders can use daily.

Joseph Robinson founded xNord after seeing how much founder time gets wasted on repetitive inbox work. With a background in computer science and software engineering, he focuses on building AI workflows that are practical, trustworthy, and useful day to day — not just impressive in demos.

We run xNord as a focused team with high product standards: transparent AI decisions, auditable actions, and software quality that founders can trust in real workflows.

If you want to work on a problem that affects every knowledge worker who has ever felt owned by their inbox, see our open roles on the Careers page.
